Acoustic or Acoustic Electric Guitar

Acoustic GuitarAcoustic or Acoustic/Electric guitars are the perfect guitars for beginners as you can play almost any kind of music. You don't need to worry about an amplifier to play but you have the choice to use an amplifier if you need it.

You just need to learn how to play it and you can have a lot of fun.

One of the good things about this kind of guitar is that you can bring it anywhere you want and you can play wherever you want.

You can even use it to perform and play as a solo performer.

Electric Guitar

Electric Guitar

These guitars are perfect for those who want to play in a band in the future and are thinking about learning how play the guitar seriously.

There are so many different types, models and brands of electric guitars to choose from in the market. So, it all depends on what model you like, what type of music you like to play and how much you can afford.

Reasonable guitars for beginners range in price from about $400 up to $1000. For professionals, the price range is around $1000 up.

The most common brands used by professional musicians are: Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, Washburn, Jackson, Guild, Music Man, Peavy and Charvel.

One of the brands that I would recommend for beginners is Squier (copy of Fender). They are not very expensive but they are very comfortable to play and sound pretty good.

I have a few students who have these guitars and they are all happy.

I would also recommend Squier basses for beginners.

Ear training

Being able to hear and recognise notes (pitch) is one of the most important aspects in learning music. If you can hear pitch you will be able to learn music, but if you can not hear pitch, you will not be able to learn music by ear.

We give ear training to improve your ability to hear music (pitch), feel rhythm and develop your musicality so that you can learn to play an instrument or sing.

We also train those who want to improve their musical ability to the next level.

OTHER LESSONS:

Sequencing and arranging - Harry also teaches his intermediate and advanced students, who are interested to learn, how to set up a home studio and to make backing tracks themselves so they can practice with backing tracks at home.

By having backing tracks, the learning process will be more interesting, enjoyable and allow the students to feel like they are playing in a band.
